Privacy Policy
Quorom ("we," "our," or "us") is a Slack application that helps hybrid teams coordinate office attendance. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
1. What data we collect
When you install or use Quorom, we collect only what's needed to operate the service:
- Slack workspace ID and bot token — stored to authenticate our bot with your workspace.
- Slack user IDs — used internally to associate your attendance responses with your account. We never display your Slack user ID in shared channels.
- Attendance responses — when you indicate whether you plan to come into the office (Yes, Maybe, or No), we store that response along with the date it applies to.
- Google Calendar working location (optional) — if you connect Google Calendar, we read your working location events to pre-fill your attendance signal. We do not read your calendar events, titles, attendees, or any other content.
2. What we do not collect
- We do not collect your name, email address, or any profile information beyond your Slack user ID.
- We do not read Slack messages, channels, or files.
- We do not build attendance records or dashboards that identify individuals.
- We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for advertising or analytics.
3. How we use your data
Your data is used solely to operate Quorom:
- Computing aggregate office energy signals (e.g., "High energy," "Quiet day") for your workspace's vibe channel.
- Sending you daily DM reminders about tomorrow's office plan.
- Responding to slash commands like
/office week. - Pre-filling your attendance from Google Calendar if you've opted in.
Aggregate signals shown in shared channels (like #office-vibe) never identify individuals — they show only the overall energy level for a given day.
4. Data retention
Attendance responses are stored for 90 days and then automatically deleted. Workspace credentials are retained as long as Quorom is installed in your workspace. When you uninstall Quorom, your workspace token is invalidated and your workspace's data is deleted within 30 days.
5. Data security
We store all data in a secured database. Slack tokens are stored encrypted at rest. We do not log individual attendance responses in plain text outside of the database.
6. Third-party services
Quorom integrates with:
- Slack — our distribution and communication layer. Your use of Slack is governed by Slack's Privacy Policy.
- Google Calendar (optional) — used only to read your working location. Governed by Google's Privacy Policy. You can disconnect at any time with
/office calendar disconnect.
7. Your rights
You can:
- Delete your data — email us at support@quorom.work and we'll remove your attendance history within 7 days.
- Uninstall Quorom — remove the app from your Slack workspace at any time. Your data will be deleted within 30 days.
- Disconnect Google Calendar — run
/office calendar disconnectin Slack at any time.
8. Children's privacy
Quorom is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll post a notice in your Slack workspace. Continued use of Quorom after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
